Grimy swamp blues duo Bones appears in concert May 2 at The Vortex in Beaumont.
Hailing from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Michael Miller [guitar/bass/vocals] and Scott Campbell [drums] describe their sound as "a sex induced heart attack."
AntiGravity Magazine in New Orleans says of the act: "Bones comes off like a sex-crazed pit bull broken free of its leash: focused, furious, and practically unstoppable."
Bones is performing in support of the new CD "Sounds From The Id." The duo says of the album on the band's MySpace blog: "I have to say, it's the best stuff we have done so far. I told everyone we were recording a dance album, as a joke, but this reality is stranger than fiction. ... To all the hot women who have been making our shows so raw and fun, we have a gift for you."
Sounds like this is going to be a show not to miss. I'll post more details on opening acts when they come in.
The Vortex is located at 2350 North 11th Street in Beaumont, Texas.
