Madison Monroe 04/26/08

Local Texas music singer-songwriter Madison Monroe performs a set tonight - at Antone's - OR The Star Bar - on Crockett Street in downtown Beaumont.

The confusion is due to conflicting information coming out of Crockett Street, which lists his show [as of Saturday afternoon] being at Antone's and/or The Star Bar.

Monroe [formerly of the Austin-based band Amos Moses] is offering a showcase of his solo material tonight as part of the big "Beaumont Boys" bash [featuring Mark Chesnutt and Tracy Bird] at Crockett Street. While Chesnutt, Byrd and others will be performing on the outdoor stage, Monroe will be inside on the Antone's and/or The Star Bar stage[s] - which may end up being closer to cold beer either way you look at it.

Madison gave me an advance CD of his new album "No Boundaries," and lemme tell ya, it's some great Texas music. The 11 tracks of blended rock/country/blues include "Back To You," "Seeing Lies," "Walls," "Long Stem Roses," "In The Mood," "Out Of The Blue," "Tainted Glass," "A Lot About Lovin'," "Loaded," "What's Inside" and "With You."

Monroe's showtime tonight is still up in the air at this point as well. Call Antone's at (409) 832-2944 for more details. Check out Madison Monroe's MySpace for more: http://www.myspace.com/madisonmonroemusic And here's Monroe's other official web site: http://www.madisonmonroemusic.com/
