My good friend Tommy Mann over at http://www.localmusicguide.net/ reports that "The Rock Goddess Showcase" is coming to Antone's on Crockett Street [Beaumont, Texas] on May 16th.
The showcase will features two local groups and two regional bands - Broken Mary [from Orange - http://www.myspace.com/brokenmary ], Drachen [from SETX and featuring Raven, pictured above], The Vettes [from New Orleans] and She Craves [from Austin]. They all rock. They're all hot. Still, I want more. [Story of my life]. What's my problem, you ask? I'll tell ya - local rock band Fictive Kin isn't on the lineup. Nothing at all against the other four bands - I love 'em all, especially Raven and Drachen [ http://www.myspace.com/drachenmetal ] - but fans of Fictive Kin also consider Mona and Alura to be fuckin' Rock Goddesses.

Anyway, the doors for this must-see show are scheduled to open at 8 p.m. at Antone's. Showtime is 9:30 p.m. The order of appearance will be Broken Mary, She Craves, The Vettes and Drachen. Admission will be is $7 but you have to be 18 or older to get in.
