SETX metal band Drachen hosts a CD release show for its new project "In The Beginning" tonight [Sat. July 5] at Changing Times on 11th Street in Beaumont, Texas.
With "In The Beginning," Drachen - with angelic vocals, blistering guitars, chugging rhythms and atmospheric keys and audio samples - artfully blends modern Euro-metal and classic American hardcore with postpunk deathrock, creating a timeless sound with Gothic flourishes that should prove to appeal to a diverse range of hard rock fans. Tracks like "Marching Into Hell," "Morning Star," "The Familiar Spirit," "Endless Night," Mokele Mbembe," "The Vision," "Whore Of Babylon," "Heart Of The Dragon" and "Mammoth Lake" will no doubt bring forth many raised devil's horns among the legions. Hell yeah!
Tonight's CD release show will also include performances by Warchild and Dead Men Walking. Cover is $5 and doors will open at 8 p.m. Call 409-892-4130 for more info. Check out Drachen's MySpace site at: http://www.myspace.com/drachenmetal
