Legendary horror host Joe Bob Briggs of Shudder's "The Last Drive In" returns with a new holiday special, "Joe Bob Ruins Christmas." Beloved horror icon Darcy The Mail Girl joins the festivities at 9 p.m. ET on Friday night, Dec. 17 on Shudder.
On Twitter Joe Bob described the upcoming special as "a major distortion of what Christmas is all about."
"It's an auction, it's a telethon, and it's the kind of genre-bending movie choices that are guaranteed to make you say 'Huh? What? Explain that one again,'" he said.
Let the guessing games begin! What movies will Joe Bob pick? Will Darcy think they're fun? Will Ernie wear a Santa hat? Will they do a "We Are The World" type song about the three Bs?
In previous holiday specials Joe Bob and Darcy have screened such Christmas-themed horror flicks as "Black Christmas," "Silent Night, Deadly Night Part 2," "Jack Frost" (no not the Michael Keaton family flick), "Dial Code Santa Claus" and "Christmas Evil." Oh and then one year Joe Bob decided to show several entries from the "Phantasm" franchise - because silver balls. (Darcy was not impressed.)
The titles of the movies screened are kept secret until air time, but fans love to speculate (or submit wishes) as to what the films will be. Personally I'm hoping for "Rare Exports" and "A Christmas Horror Story." But "Better Watch Out" and "Anna And The Apocalypse" would be groovy too.
