Day Of The Animals (1977): When Animals Attack And Attack And Attack

 

William Girdler's entertaining followup to "Grizzly" delivers more animal attacks, more kills and more thrills in an apocalyptic environmental disaster storyline. "Grizzly" stars Christopher George and Richard Jaeckel return for the spiritual sequel, joined by fellow genre favorites Lynda Day George, Leslie Nielsen and Andrew Stevens. The numerous bloody animal attack scenes are staged by veteran stunt/animal coordinator Monty Cox - who partners with stuntwoman/actress Susan Backlinie (of "Jaws" fame). In addition to stunt doubling for Lynda Day George's animal attack scenes, Backlinie portrays an unfortunate hiker - and performs her own spectacular death scene.
