THINGS TO COME - Trippy Texploitation From The Future

THINGS TO COMES (1976) - With a deliberate nod to H.G. Wells (in title alone) Derek Todd's low-budget sci-fi soft-core "Things To Come" is a trippy Texploitation masterpiece. Shot in 1976 in San Antonio, Tx, the film replicates themes from such classic sci-fi hits like Logan's Run, Rollerball and Westworld. What sets it apart from the bigger budget films is the Texas connection. The hair, accents and silly clothes are a hoot (and I say that as a Texan) and the inclusion of scenes from various softcore porno flicks ups the breasts, buttocks and wangdoodles count. Three stars.
